A game that was never supposed to exist since Naughty Dog already made the contracted original Crash Trilogy on PS1, CTR ended up becoming a majorly great kart racer for Caddy. It’s one of his favourites of all time, actually - and he made a Caddicarus Crash Team Racing video years ago after the audience voted on it. Caddy didn’t think CTR could get any better, especially considering it was a pure bonus game made by Naughty Dog that was never meant to be made in the first place, but then after the ‘okay’ Crash Nitro Kart and the terrible Crash Tag Team Racing, they ended up making CTR better. There is now a CTR remake available on PS4 , Xbox One and Nintendo Switch known as CTR Nitro-Fueled - and Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled has turned out to be MORE of a remake than N Sane Trilogy was. Just LOOK at the Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled gameplay on display. Instead of just the exact same game with prettier visuals acting as a remaster, it’s now a total remake with characters and tracks from Nitro Kart , the boosting system from Nitro Kart , better use of visuals than what the original CTR had , better sound design , online features , and a MASSIVE amount of unlockable customisation things. It’s amazing, easily my game of the year 2019 so far. Getting it on Switch as well just to play portably. I do wish it was on PC though. 60fps would be beastly.
